TECHNICAL SURFACE. NATURAL AESTHETICS. SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE.

Born from in-depth research carried out by Keope, starting from a master’s thesis project in collaboration with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, the new ULTRAmatt finish by Ceramiche Keope enhances the anti-glare properties of technical surfaces while offering a refined, pleasantly smooth tactile sensation.

By replacing a traditional matting agent with an innovative ultra-fine particle material, a denser and more homogeneous distribution is achieved. The surface becomes noticeably more matt, diffusing light more efficiently rather than reflecting it. This innovation goes beyond aesthetics: the new composition also improves the tactile experience, making the surface smoother and more pleasant to the touch, while maintaining unchanged slip-resistance performance.

At the same time, surface cleaning is simplified: the more homogeneous distribution of microscopic refractory particles reduces roughness, increasing resistance to stains and chemical agents.

Ideal for covering commercial and residential architectural surfaces where aesthetics and functionality must go hand in hand, ULTRAmatt is the perfect choice for projects requiring a natural and sophisticated matt finish, outstanding technical performance, easy maintenance, and a pleasantly smooth tactile feel.

  • Enhanced opacity thanks to reduced light reflection, resulting in a deeper, more natural surface appearance.
  • Improved tactile sensation, smoother and more uniform than traditional technical surfaces.
  • Simplified cleaning and superior resistance to stains and chemical agents, due to reduced surface roughness and the absence of deep valleys where dirt or contaminants could accumulate.
  • High slip resistance, unchanged compared to Keope’s R10 B technical surfaces, tested and certified according to various national and international standards.
  • A technology subject to a patent application filed with the Italian Patent and Trademark Office in Rome.

PERFECT BALANCE BETWEEN SOFTNESS AND SAFETY

The new ULTRAsilky technology by Ceramiche Keope redefines the concept of satin surfaces. Designed to combine aesthetics and functionality, this innovative finish is suitable for interior-wet installations, while remaining pleasantly smooth and silky to the touch, just like a traditional satin surface.

The secret lies in its micro-topography: invisible to the naked eye, it consists of dense, steep micro-reliefs with a sharper gradient compared to conventional satin finishes. This surface conformation results in a high dynamic coefficient of friction (DCOFwet > 0.42), a fundamental requirement for classifying the surface as interior wet, in compliance with ANSI A326.3 standards.

ULTRAsilky is a luxurious and elegant satin surface that enhances the product’s aesthetics while offering outstanding technical performance, including easy cleaning, resistance to chemical agents, and a high dynamic coefficient of friction (DCOFwet > 0.42).

  • Soft, velvety touch, comparable to Keope’s traditional satin finish, combined with improved technical performance for expanded applications.
  • Interior Wet performance, in compliance with ANSI A326.3, with a high wet dynamic coefficient of friction (DCOFwet > 0.42), achieved through a micro-topography of invisible, steep micro-reliefs with up to 60% higher density compared to conventional satin surfaces.
  • Easy to clean and highly resistant to chemical agents, guaranteed by an extremely fine and uniform surface roughness, ideal for high-traffic spaces.
  • Elegant satin finish, preserving the chromatic depth and natural material character of Keope’s ceramic surfaces.
  • A technology subject to a patent application filed with the Italian Patent and Trademark Office in Rome.

Both finishes – subject to a patent application filed with the Italian Patent and Trademark Office in Rome – share the same innovative foundation, yet stand out for their distinct functional and aesthetic characteristics.

These differences allow them to meet diverse and specific design needs: ULTRAsilky, with its extra-smooth satin finish, is ideal for contexts where elegance and sensoriality take center stage; ULTRAmatt, with its matt and anti-glare surface, is perfect for environments requiring maximum aesthetic sobriety and advanced technical performance.

With these two new surface technologies, Ceramiche Keope introduces a dual innovation that reaffirms its commitment to research and the development of advanced and versatile ceramic solutions.
