Brescia, Italy — Marble-effect porcelain stoneware is right at home inside all Italian boutiques devoted to good design. The vocation remains the same: to overcome conventions. That’s what Interno4 achieves by decorating Ekhò, a clothing shop covered with the vibrant textures of Carnico Brera and Calacatta San Babila.
By using Carnico slabs, in size 120x278cm, the counter seems to be one natural solid block, flawlessly set in the space; the second color, on the other hand, extends invitingly across the floor. When viewed from different angles both surfaces reveal precious mixtures of veins and shades, which emerge from an expressive technology that celebrates the twentieth century's best architecture.
