An increasing number of Keope products are classified as UPEC in the QB 32 certification, concerning ceramic products for floor coverings. Obtaining the UPEC mark is subject to a selective certification process that includes inspection visits to the production plant and rigorous laboratory tests on the products involved in the classification.
Only first-choice tiles in compliance with the EN 14411 regulation can be classified according to the UPEC standards. This classification identifies the fields of application of the material based on the resistance performance demonstrated and certified.
The "Centre Scientifique du Bâtiment (CSTB)" samples the products and subjects them to tests according to the Cahier in force, aimed at establishing the technical characteristics to which the classification is subject: resistance to wear (U), perforation (P), water (E) and chemical aggression (C).
The classification associates a numerical value with each letter, thus identifying the certified performance of the material. The higher the value, the better the technical characteristics of the material examined.
Since 2019, Keope has been adding the QB UPEC F+ certificate to the QB UPEC certificate, which includes the classification of various Keope products in 20 mm that have passed the tests for raised installation of the material, within the application limits expressed by the regulation, thanks to high mechanical resistance.
