The HPD Open-Standard was created to promote constant reporting of product characteristics and to present any health hazard information for construction products and materials.
Recognized by USGBC LEED, the Healthy Product Declaration provides customers with the information they need to make more informed purchasing decisions.
In addition, the use of HPD-certified products helps project teams achieve new LEED credits with v4 Materials and Resources. The HPD provides information on the health risks of all stakeholders involved in the design, construction and construction of the project, and to safeguard the health of the building occupant.
Products are evaluated by the manufacturer using the Greenscreen List Translator, an online tool for screening hazardous chemicals. HPD increases transparency and awareness, ensuring that both content and health information are reported consistently.
