All Keope products are tested and classified according to UPEC regulations, in order to certify their suitability for use. The tests to which the tiles are subjected at the "Centre Scientifique du Bâtiment (CSTB)" - according to current ISO standards - are extremely selective and are aimed at establishing the strength and performance of the products compared to four fundamental dimensions: resistance to wear (U), perforation (P), water (E) and chemical aggression (C).
All tiles can be classified according to UPEC standards. This classification makes it easy to know the most appropriate uses for each product and to compare products with each other from the point of view of technical performance. The UPEC certification is carried out by subjecting the tiles to various tests organized by the CSTB according to ISO test methodologies in order to test their technical characteristics and verify their behavior. Each letter is associated with a numerical value that indicates the performance of the material. The higher the value, the better the technical characteristics of the material examined.
Since January 2019, Keope has obtained QB UPEC F+ certification for products in 20mm thickness, 60x60 cm format. This standard certifies excellent quality parameters for 20mm tiles laid outdoors and intended for example in corridors, balconies, loggias, pool and terraces. The certification has been obtained thanks to the high impact resistance of the products of the Keope range in 20mm thickness that make them an ideal choice both for residential outdoor projects and for public and commercial outdoor walkways with high footfall.
